The unexciting tales of vampires and a bride to be
I'm getting married in October, writing an MA dissertation that's due a week before, whilst working and seemingly having too little time whilst doing far too much.

So it goes...
So, I've returned to the world of online journals.  My last forays (hi, Livejournal, how're you doing? It's been a while!) have all but dissipated so this is a tentative new beginning.  With so much happening, I thought maybe it would be interesting if I documented some of it so I can look back and roar with laughter at my own stupid self in the not too distant future.

What's happening in your world, I hear you cry (well, in my mind at least)?!  Well.  I'm starting a proper diet with restrictions and everything tomorrow, rather than my half-assed attempts to follow a Weight Watchers diet and convince myself that because I did an hour at the gym, I can most certainly eat all those triple chocolate cookies I made.  Having shed some pounds and then almost immediately regained them through my patented method, I've decided that I should at least try and exert some willpower.  I'm forcing my husband-to-be to support me on this, on the premise that he gets to eat as much meat as he desires.  The way to a man's heart truly is through his stomach, although we did have a mini-tiff in the supermarket over the price of some zero-fat yoghurts.  Despite my wedding dress being fully corseted, I, being a female of the human species, have decided that this is unsatisfactory and I will still look like a bloated heffalump on my wedding day.  I'll let you know if I've caved by Wednesday and purchased a dozen Starbars from the shop below work and consumed them faster than a Catholic priest tries to get into a new altar boy's pants, wrapper and all.

I have my second dissertation supervision with my erstwhile and frankly, far too clever for my liking professor on Wednesday.  I should really attempt a True Blood marathon beforehand, seeing as though I was under strict instructions to go away and watch lots of lowbrow vampire TV before meeting him again.  O, Time, why must thou deprive me always?  Maybe I should follow the wanker set and get myself an iPad, just to see how long it would take for someone to mug me whilst attempting crucial dissertation work on the 237 bus.  Never.  After the ongoing battle I've had with iTunes over the past few days, I'm almost tempted to throw my iPod through our new double glazed windows.  I really despise Apple. I would hurl it too, if it weren't for the fact that there's nothing with a larger capacity on the market.  Yes, I do need 160gb of music with me at all times, obviously.

After a lazy Bank Holiday Monday, preceded by a lovely weekend, I think it's probably time to actually get off my fat arse and actually attempt a mini-marathon of dissertation work.  Sigh.  Time.  More please.
